The Harmful Effects of Smoking
Smoking cigars are associated with a higher risk for nearly all major lung disease. Research suggests that the damaging effects of tobacco smoke on the heart are multifold. It increases the risk for blood clot and thus smokers are more susceptible to heart attack and heart stroke. Cigarette smoking increases the risk of developing dementia and neurologic diseases. It is also linked to numerous reproductive problems. Smoking causes several negative effects on joints and bones such as it impairs the formation of new bones and smokers are vulnerable to osteoporosis. Smokers tend to develop injuries in the spine and degenerative disorders. It also contains hydrogen cyanide: the poison used in gas chambers, carbon monoxide: part of car exhaust, ammonia: found in floor cleaners, methane: a component of rocket fuel, arsenic: used in rat poison etc… The diseases caused by smoking cigarettes are many and kills many people worldwide every year.
