Student Success Statement
"Stop worrying about whether you're going to win or lose and focus your full attention on whats happening right this moment"

Phil Jackson
11 World Championships
Reflection: If you worry about win and losing you are going to stop worrying about what is actually going on in the game and you are going to mess up without a doubt. If you pay full attention to what is going on right now you will gain an edge in the game and will mprove your chances of winning.

Student Success Statement
“Truth is the only safe ground to stand upon.”
-Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Reflection:I think that this statement is trying to say that people should always say the truth because if they don’t, then they will probably fall. Sometimes people feel that they have to lie to protect someone else, but they actually don’t because if they tell them the truth then they will avoid making the other person mad because they lied to them. At the end, the best thing to do is to tell the truth.

Student Success Statement

-Confucius
Reflection: I think that this statement is trying to say that people sometimes realize what the right thing to do is and they don’t do it. That means that they want to be courageous but they aren't  Sometimes it is best to be courageous because that means that they can do the right thing.

Selecting Your Courses
Recommended Classes for College Success
Part 1

The academic rigor of your high school courses is an important factor in the college admission process. College admission officers see your high school courses schedule as a blueprint of your education. They are looking for a solid foundation of learning that you can build on in college.
To create that foundation, take at least five solid academic classes every semester. Start with the basics and then move on to advanced courses. Challenging yourself is a part of what makes school fun; but you need a firm grasp of the fundamentals before going on to more advanced work.

Student Success Statement
"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do."
Alex Linares

Reflection: This quote kind of explains itself. It just says that if you choose the right you know you're not doing anything wrong.
